Personas privadas de libertad trabajan en el reacondicionamiento de espacios en la cárcel de San Rafael
Las mejoras tienden a optimizar las condiciones edilicias y de habitabilidad del Pabellón 3 del Complejo Penitenciario de Alojamiento Permanente de San Rafael, mediante la participación de internos y personal penitenciario.
El Servicio Penitenciario de Mendoza avanza con obras de mejora en el establecimiento penal más antiguo del sur provincial, que implican la demolición de la losa existente y el montaje de una nueva cubierta liviana de techo elaborada con paneles termoaislantes, lo que permite un adecuado aislamiento térmico y una mayor protección frente a las inclemencias del tiempo.
El objetivo de estas tareas apunta no solo a crear mejores condiciones en un espacio que presentaba un importante desgaste, sino también a que las propias personas privadas de libertad participen en el reacondicionamiento, capacitándose en trabajos de albañilería, soldadura y electricidad, entre otros oficios.
La reconstrucción incluye el relevamiento técnico, la planificación y dirección de obra, además de la demolición de la losa actual y el retiro con disposición final de los escombros. Por otra parte, se prevé el montaje de los paneles termoaislantes, las tareas de sellado y las verificaciones y controles de calidad necesarios para garantizar una correcta ejecución.
“La superficie intervenida alcanza aproximadamente los 264 metros cuadrados, con una estructura de 12 metros de ancho por 22 metros de largo. La nueva cubierta se montará sobre una estructura portante metálica, aprovechando la estructura de apoyo existente y posibilitando su adecuación y refuerzo para la correcta fijación del nuevo sistema”, explicaron desde la Unidad de Obras, Planificación y Logística.
Esta obra forma parte de las acciones que impulsa el Servicio Penitenciario de Mendoza para el mantenimiento, reacondicionamiento y mejora progresiva de la infraestructura penitenciaria en toda la Provincia, con una mirada puesta en la seguridad, la funcionalidad de los espacios y el respeto por condiciones edilicias adecuadas.
